Mary Elizabeth Rawls' Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Rawls, 25, passed away February 4, 2025, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. She was born May 18, 1999, and is the daughter of Lang and Gina Rawls.
Mary Beth attended West Mecklenburgh High School. She was an outstanding athlete, competing in swimming and softball, earning several awards. She was free spirited, loved New Smyrna Beach and spent time with friends. Her main love was being with her son, Nyrone.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gene and Mary Ellen Moore; her paternal grandparents, Mary Jo and William Rawls; her mother, Gina Moore Rawls; and Nyrone’s father, Tyrone Stinson.
She is survived by her son, Nyrone Allen Stinson; her father, Lang Rawls; her brother, Langdon (Ashley) Rawls; a niece, Piper Tucker; a nephew, Nash Rawls and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts of love and remembrance to be donated to Christ United Methodist Church at 8020 Bellhaven Blvd Charlotte, NC 28216 or the charity of choice.
Christ United Methodist Church will hold a service Saturday February 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm and visitation with family will follow. James Funeral Home and Northlake Memorial Gardens is helping with arrangements.
