Mary Ruth Hamblin's Obituary
Mary Ruth Miller Hamblin of Cornelius, NC , died Friday, March 25th
at Novant Health Center in Huntersville, NC.
Mary Ruth Miller Hamblin was born March 17, 1930, in Ripley, Tennessee, to William Hugh Miller I and Willie Ellie Owens Miller.
She was proceeded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert Lee Hamblin. She leaves her children, Bobbie Ruth Hamblin Monger and spouse, Warren Allen Monger of Maryville, TN; Karis Jan Hamblin Kremers and spouse, Mark Stuart Kremers of Cornelius, NC; and Mary Carole Hamblin Dibble and spouse, Sweyden Ernest Dibble of Manchester, CT.
She leaves 8 grandchildren, Jennifer Paige Monger and spouse, Paul Franklin Davis; Alex Stuart Kremers; Adam Hamblin Kremers; George Robert Kremers; Arden Nicole Dibble; Christopher Jacob Dibble; Michael Patrick Dibble; Sabrina Cheyenne Dibble; and great granddaughter, Hadley Logan Davis.
She was proceeded in death by her brother William Hugh Miller, Jr. and his spouse, Ellen Virginia Blackmon Miller.
Ruth grew up in Ripley, TN and graduated from Ripley High School. She finished Draughan’s Business College and graduated from Southwestern Theological Seminary.
Ruth was a devoted wife who support her husband’s ministry throughout the Southern Baptist Convention while raising her three daughters. She wrote numerous articles for Christian and genealogical publications and served on various boards. She was a member of the Alexandriana Chapter of the DAR Huntersville, NC. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church Huntersville.
The funeral service will be held at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr., Huntersville, NC on Sunday, March 27th at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive friends after the service. Burial will be at First Baptist Church in Huntersville, NC in the church cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28th.
