Dr. GALL was the best. I waited an extra month to see him 20 years ago and I am glad I did. We was a great doctor and we had a special bond as i found his little boy Grady at a Relay for Life at the burnsville football stadium and we always talked about how he got lost and I found him. I am still cancer free. MOPAH I am sure misses him dearly. RIP Dr. Matt.
I can not begin to say how deeply saddened I am by the news of Matt's passing. He was my oncologist for over 7 years and truly one of the best doctors I have ever had. He was kind, caring, compassionate, knowledgeable and very up beat. I can only only imagine that is just how he was. You don't go thru cancer and not have those who care for you touch your life. He also spoke great things about his wife and kids. I am truly sorry for the the family's loss. The world lost an amazing human being and heaven needed an extra angel. He is gone way too soon. May he rest Iin peace, and to all who knew him keep memories alive in your hearts. He really was a great person. I am blessed to have known him.
I just found out yesterday from one of my patients about Matt. We shared quite a few patients when working at Fairview and worked alongside at hospital. I am deeply saddened to hear this, my heart just sank hearing this. He was one of my favorite doctors! Matt was so full of energy ,always smiling and ray of sunshine! Patients absolutely loved him!! I just found out about Dr. Gall and I am in shocked. He was a wonderful doctor who new Hereditary Sperocytosis like a book. I felt safe because of his gentleness, he was able to describe what was going on so I could understand and I still have drawings that he did on his white board. He also was able to be there for my son and daughter who have this as well. He was very compassionate when my son passed away at age 19. I won't forget him. Many prayers to you and your family.
To the family of Dr. Gall,
I just found out today about Dr. Gall. He was my doctor for over 12 years. I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer in 2006. I was so upset I when I learned he moved to North Carolina, which was selfish on my part. But, I was happy for him as well. I am beyond saddened to hear of his passing. He was such a caring and kind man. Always had a smile on his face. He continued to see me every year even after I passed the 10 year mark. It was comforting to me. I will keep him and all of you in my prayers.

What a friend Matt was to me. Not only my neighbor but one of the best friends in High School one could ever ask for. To this day I still tell others the story of how my mom was diagnosed with cancer when we were in high school and Matt assured me he was going to be a cancer doctor and cure my mom and so many others. I have lost you both and I grieve for you and your family members . Those conversations will never be forgotten as I know his passion even in childhood was to help everyone that was unwell and make a difference.
I will miss his yearly calls to me on my birthday, and the friendship we had, you were truly a one of a kind! I will miss you forever

Matt is so alive in my mind's eye that this is hard to write. Matt lived his life with passion and enthusiasm. All of my memories of Matt include that passion. I first met him when he was the Ultimate Warrior for Halloween in Madison. After college, when we grew up and matured, Matt kept his college friends close. He knew children's names and asked about them personally, remembering their interests. He was sincere.
Betsy, I am heartbroken for you and Grady, Gavin and Sophie. I am praying for you. May you feel surrounded by love, now and always.
