Melodie Greer Greene's Obituary
Melodie Greer Greene, 55, of Mooresville, NC passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at her residence.
She was born on March 7, 1961 in Greenville, SC and was the daughter of the late Marion Hester Greer. Melodie was a faithful compassionate, loving, caring wife, daughter, sister and friend who loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and freely shared her faith with everyone. She touched many lives, especially during the 17 years after her bilateral lung and heart transplant. She will be missed by all. She was a member of Lake Norman Baptist Church in Huntersville.
Survivors include her husband, Craig Greene of Mooresville; father, Max Lee Greer and wife Becky of Spartanburg, SC; brother, Daniel Lee Greer, wife Diane and their daughter, Danielle of Greenville, SC; sister, Tonya Atkins, husband Brian and their children, Grayson and Garrison of Spartanburg, SC; father and mother-in-law, Morris and Shirely Greene of Travelers Rest, SC; brother-in-law, Dale Greene, wife Debbie and their children, Clayton and Jillian of Ozark, AL; sister-in-law, Amy Pruitt and her children, Rachel and Ryan of Greenville, SC; and her four special rescue companions, Everette, Layla, Stella and Troy.
The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, February 9, 2017, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at James Funeral Home.
A Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 2:00 PM, at Lake Norman Baptist Church in Huntersville, NC with Rev. Bobby Blanton officiating.
