Melvin "Dink" Moore's Obituary
Melvin G. "Dink" Moore, 79, of Denver, died April 12, 2011 at CMC Mercy Hospital. He was born on July16, 1931 in Tarboro, NC to the late William Key Moore and Mary Shaw Moore. Dink served in the US Navy and retired from Bunge Foods. He was a member of Lake Norman Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; son, Thomas Moore and wife Kolis of Albemarle; step-son, Paul Stuart of Kannapolis; step-daughter, Lynn Weinburg and husband Michael of Ft. Mill; siblings, Bill Moore of Albemarle, Levy Moore and wife Carolyn of Franklin Springs, GA, Roy Moore and wife Dale of Cary, NC, and Carol Proctor of Tarboro, NC; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by siblings, Margart Laski, Bobby Moore and Benny Moore.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 Friday, April 15, 2011 at Lake Norman Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeff Marquardt officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
