Michael Salvatore LaRosa's Obituary
Michael LaRosa, 67, of Huntersville, NC passed away May 1, 2025.
Mike was a native of Oakville CT and moved to NC for warmer weather and to be near his great nephews (Wyatt and Owen) and great niece Audriana (aka peanut).
Mike was an Electrician who worked for a few different companies in CT and was a member of the Elks Club in Torrington CT. He loved spending time with family and friends, fishing with his nephew Dave and brother-in-law Dave was the absolute best of times for him.
You could often find Mike at a local brewery sampling the craft beers, his favorite being a Porter.
He loved playing with his nieces and nephews and was always considered the “Fun Uncle Mike”.
He will be remembered for his kindness and sense of humor. Even though the last several months were very difficult for Mike, he always managed to stay upbeat and positive.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and June LaRosa and sister Beth Cummings.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patty LaRosa, the love of his life, a brother Tom (Terri) LaRosa and 2 sisters, Lorrie (Frank) Giordanelli and Eileen LaRosa, sister and brother-in-law Dave and Donna Mariano, sister-in-law Debbie Wibly and sister and brother-in-law Kathy and Tony Chanfrau and several nieces and nephews: Dave Mariano, Ashley and Mike Migliaro, Shawn and Leanne Wibly, Ben and Rachael Wibly, Kristen and Jim Kaklamanos and Lauren and Kevin Andrade, Tasha and Jimmy Lunnie, Kaylah and Pete Lowe and Kristene and Eddie Chimbom, Dan, Matt (Alli) and Aidan Giordanelli, Heather (Andrew) Standish, TJ (Nicelle) LaRosa, and Jenny and Jessie Cummings.
Services will be held for Mike on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Drive in Huntersville, NC. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm with a service to follow at 3:00 pm. More information on a gathering after the services to come.
There will also be a Private Burial and Celebration of Life on June 7, 2025 in Connecticut. More details to be proved at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
