Michael Murphy's Obituary
Michael Lorain Murphy, 47, of Huntersville died Sunday, March 31, 2024. He was born on July 16, 1975 in Norfolk, VA to James Alfred Murphy and Eileen Laughbaum Murphy.
Mike was always the life of the party. He always made time for anyone in need no matter what he was already busy with whether it was working on a roof or doing fun (honey do) projects with his wife. He loved watching his kids grow up to be the wonderful young men they are today.
From supporting one of his son’s desire and talents in music to watching his other two sons play football and lacrosse. Mike was at every game and every concert. Mike's own love for music has been with him his entire life. He was his happiest when just sitting around singing and listening to songs. We all know his love for baseball, the Cubbies and Ryne Sandberg.
Luckily Kim put her foot down or else their son Ryno's middle name would have been Wrigley. Any baseball movie was always a go to for entertainment, with his favorite being "For Love of the Game". Mike’s boisterous personality, joyful laughter and willingness to lend a hand will be constant memories in our hearts for years to come.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife Kimberly McIsaac Bornt Murphy; sons, Zacheri McIsaac, Christian Murphy and Ryne Murphy; and brother Dr. James Murphy and wife, Natalie
.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 5 at James Funeral Home. Visitation will follow.
James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.
