Michael Ogle's Obituary
Michael Elliot Ogle passed away at his home on November 5.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Laurin Emrick Ogle of Charlotte, his parents John and Charlotte Ogle of Wilkesboro, brothers Martin Ogle and wife Sherry of Richmond, Va., Jonathan Ogle and wife Kathy of North Wilkesboro, and Joseph Ogle and Annette Wyatt of Jasper, Florida, sisters Karen Huffman and husband Randy of North Wilkesboro, his twin sister Michele Austin and husband Mitch of North Wilkesboro, and Peg Mueller and husband Phil of Monroe, Michigan, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A veteran medic in the US Army 82nd Airborne, Mike was the owner of Ogle’s Hardwood Flooring in Huntersville. Mike was passionate about his work, and through it built many strong friendships. He loved fishing and hunting, and enjoyed trips with friends and family.
As a deacon and elder at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, he presided over special family celebrations and was a source of spiritual support for many.
Above all, Mike was loved by everyone who ever met him. He was a strong man with a huge heart. Simply put, Mike was the best man ever.
Memorial services will be held at 2pm on Sunday at Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Huntersville. A reception will follow in the Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s name may be made to Angels of 97 at PO Box 3511, Huntersville, NC 28070.
