Milton Fleming's Obituary
Milton Fleming passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 15, 2026, leaving an immeasurable void. However, his larger-than-life spirit, infectious personality, and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.
Milton met the love of his life, Natalie, in Birmingham, Alabama, in February 2000. From that moment on, they were inseparable, building a life together filled with love, laughter, friendship, and devotion. Their 26 years together were marked by a deep partnership and countless memories that will be treasured forever.
Above all else, Milton was a devoted husband and father. The love he had for his two sons, Wyatt and Cole, is difficult to put into words. He was their biggest supporter, greatest teacher, and most loyal fan. Through his example, he instilled in them a passion for hard work, competition, sportsmanship, and the things he loved most—tennis, golf, music, sports, and especially Alabama football. His boys will continue to honor his legacy by carrying those passions forward and living with the same enthusiasm and love that defined their father.
For nearly 30 years, Milton dedicated his life to the game of tennis as a teaching professional, mentor, and friend. He touched the lives of countless children, adults, families, and fellow professionals. Whether on the court, in the clubhouse, or simply through a conversation, Milton had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and encouraged. The friendships he built and the lives he influenced extend far beyond what can be measured, and his impact will continue to be felt for generations.
Milton is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Natalie Fleming, and their beloved sons, Wyatt and Cole Fleming. He is also survived by his parents, Bob and Carolyn Fleming; his aunt, Janice Holland, and “cousin,” Richard Holland; his aunt, Linda Daniels; his aunt, Susan Fleming, and cousin, Taylor Fleming; as well as numerous other cherished cousins and extended family members.
He is further survived by his extended family, including his in-laws, Tommy and Vicki Tyler, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joshua and Jennifer Bourg, all of whom held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd W. and Sybil Hardin, and Robert V. and Laura Fleming; his uncle, Tommy Holland; his uncle and aunt, Larry and Teri Hardin; his uncle, Bruce Daniels; and his cousin, Lisa Hardin.
Milton brought a larger-than-life presence to every room he entered. His sense of humor, generous heart, love of people, and passion for life made him unforgettable. While his time here was far too short, the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared will continue to live on in all who knew him.
A Celebration of Milton's Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2026 at Storyhill Church.
