Monty Sharar's Obituary
Monty Reid Sharar, 77, passed away on November 3, 2024, in Kannapolis, NC. Born on February 21, 1947, Monty lived a full and loving life surrounded by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Little Sharar; children, Trent Sharar (Pamela), Joely Powlas (Eric), and Lauren Sharar; sister, Tamie Todd (Jim); grandchildren, Robert, Olivia, Victoria, and Landon; and great-grandchildren, Maddox, Lyam, Lydia, Preston, Lewis, Oliver, Tatum, and Carter. Monty was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Kidd Sharar; father and stepmother, Reid and Odessa Sharar; sister, Katrina Sharar; and children, Keely Michaelle Sharar and Richard Michael Reid Sharar.
Monty was a devoted member of Coddle Creek ARP Church, where he actively participated in community and spiritual life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Coddle Creek ARP Church, 2297 Coddle Creek Hwy., Mooresville, NC, followed by a funeral service at 11am. The burial service will take place at Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mt. Olivet Rd, Concord, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Monty's memory to Life Choices Rowan, 847 S Main St, Salisbury NC, or Coddle Creek ARP Church - Church Planting, 2297 Coddle Creek Hwy, Mooresville NC.
