Morris "Randle" Montgomery's Obituary
Cornelius- Morris Randle Montgomery, Sr., Randle was born March 5, 1949, to Morris Samuel Montgomery and Kathleen Ogburn Montgomery in Mallard Creek, NC. After a 14 month bout with lung cancer, Randle died with his family on October 4, 2021. He was a long-time Auto-body repairman and owner of Montgomery Body Shop in Huntersville, NC. His love for automobiles started while working in his Dad's backyard body shop and with his neighbors, Wilbur and Franklin Cook, at Cook's Body Shop.
His love for cars continued until his diagnosis. He rebuilt late 50's model Chevrolet cars for many friends and had a professional knack for the work. He still has a '57 Chevy he built and won many awards with that will go to his two sons. He was preceded in death by his parents and a Brother, David Montgomery. He is survived by his two sons, Morris Randle Montgomery, Jr. (Randy) and Heath Lynn Montgomery; four grandchildren, Sabrina (34), Trey (29), Dashiell (3), and Louise (1) Montgomery; three great-grandchildren, Drezon (11), Skye (4), Kynnedi (1 wk), Montgomery; and two sisters, Kathy Foerster and Marilyn Hicks.
A special dear friend Bobby (Moose) Honeycutt helped with his care in the last 6 months.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.
