Nancy Barbour's Obituary
Huntersville—Nancy Plemons Barbour passed away on December 28, 2025, surrounded by loved ones and compassionate caregivers.
Nancy was born in 1947 and was preceded in death by her parents and several beloved siblings, as well as her two adored Maltese companions, Sugar and Angel.
She is survived by her sister, extended family including many nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of devoted friends.
Nancy enjoyed a successful career in sales and was cherished for her warmth, generosity, and loyalty. She took great joy in traveling, treasured time spent with friends—affectionately known as the “Ya-Ya’s”—and maintained a lifelong love of soap operas. Known for her kindness and thoughtfulness, Nancy was generous with both her time and her spirit, and she left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter or an animal welfare organization.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held in February 2026 with family and friends.
