Nancy was truly a force to be reckoned with—full of joy, laughter, and endless love. She had a remarkable way of making you feel special and seen. When I broke my leg at 14, she mailed me a teddy bear with a cast and a mixtape filled with songs perfectly suited to my situation. 😂 That was Nancy—thoughtful, funny, and full of heart.
Visits to Erie as a child were always filled with love and the most incredible food. No sooner had we finished lunch than she was already preparing dinner. And of course, there were always her homemade chocolate chip cookies—still some of the best I've ever had. I truly cherish those sweet, comforting memories.

As we unpacked boxes in our new home, we came across this beautiful needlepoint Nancy made for our wedding—over 27 years ago. A treasured reminder of her love and kindness.

You can’t know this talent she had unless you experienced it first hand…(my awesome brother-in-law, Ken/Jim needs to be thanked as well, for making it happen…)She dropped everything in her life and flew to Florida when I was in serious condition after emergency surgery, to be my advocate in the hospital. She anticipated my needs, knowing what I needed, whether it required something with the hospital staff , pillows fluffed or a sip of water before I knew I did ! She stayed until I was home and settled. I had witnessed this ability she had when she cared for our mother, but didn’t really understand it until I became the recipient of it.

The picture below my comments is Nancy, surrounded by moving boxes and brown packing paper. It was a publicity picture ( I believe) that was used to advertise one of our upcoming Just Moved classes.
I met Nancy shortly after she and Ken moved to the Charlotte area 15 years ago, in the lobby of the Huntersville post office. When I found out that we both were attending Christ Community Church, I invited her to come to our 10 week" Just Moved" class that was soon to begin there. Nancy joined that first class and the rest is history. We became friends and over the years since, enjoying the fellowship together in a very special community group, sharing coffee at various coffee shops, attending dinners together with our spouses, and much more. Nancy baked the best chocolate chip cookies! Rod and I will miss Nancy so much, but we can rejoice, knowing she is happy and no longer in pain, with Jesus for eternity. Our prayers go out to her family who no doubt are heartbroken. Give them strength and peace and vomfort during this very difficult time.

We are so sorry for the loss of Nancy! She was always joyful and fun loving and the void left cannot be filled. She was my cousin but much more like a sister! The memories I have from our childhood and on I will treasure until we meet again!

Nancy was an amazing woman. She always made me feel welcome in our Community Group. I had an old preacher once who stated, "As Christians, we don't say goodbye but see you later!"
She loved to come visit me and get Mexican food and, of course, a Margarita!
