Nancy McFarlane Meek-Klem's Obituary
The family of Nancy McFarlane Meek-Klem, 68, of Huntersville, is saddened to announce her passing. On October 21, 2014, Nancy succumbed to a long period of sickness and passed away peacefully. She was born on April 11, 1946, in Toronto, Canada, to the late John and Kay McFarlane. She was preceded in death by her sister Dianne Spinney. Nancy loved to garden, sew, knit, golf, and spend time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Joseph William Klem; sons Jonathan Meek and Adam Meek; daughter-in-law Tara Meek; two grandchildren, Lucas and Ryder, all of Charlotte; and her lifelong friend Kathy Baldwin, of Michigan.
Please join the family in celebrating Nancy's life. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, October 24, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville. A reception will follow the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the American Cancer Society, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation.
