Nancy Osborn's Obituary
DAVIDSON- Nancy Jane “Pidge” Arganbright Osborn, 88, of The Pines at Davidson, died September 24, 2025, at her home. She was born February 3, 1937, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Marion and Helen Arganbright.
She was raised by loving and supportive parents who taught her values and faith. She was blessed with encouragement and nurturing, which created a sense of security that fostered her love of lifelong learning.
Pidge grew up in Pittsburgh and was a loyal Pirate fan, even when they were at the bottom of the league. She graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School, followed by the University of Cincinnati. There she obtained the nickname “Pidge,” her Bachelor of Science degree in Design, and her loving husband Bob. Her wish for sisters was fulfilled with lifelong involvement in Alpha Chi Omega sorority and P.E.O. Her creativity was channeled into fashion, art, sewing, knitting, quilting, designing, and reading.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Robert (Bob) Howard Osborn; children Jamee Osborn Lynch, Mark Osborn, and Stacy Osborn Raney (Bob); grandchildren Victoria Sosa, Kyle Raney, Hope Raney, Charlie Osborn, Zoë Osborn, and Lucy Osborn; and great-granddaughter Olivia Senter. She was predeceased by her brother, M. Thomas Arganbright, Jr., and her son-in-law John Lynch.
Pidge is currently waiting patiently at the Pearly Gates for delivery of her art supplies, Bernina, fabric, knitting needles, yarn, and all her books.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at Davidson College Presbyterian Church on Friday, Oct. 10 at 10:00am.
Memorials may be made to The Pines at Davidson Resident Support Fund or to the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning - School of Design Scholarship Fund.
