Nannie Blythe's Obituary
Nannie L. Blythe, 94, of Huntersville died October 11, 2012 at her home. She was born in Mecklenburg County to John and Ethel Wilhelm on December 5, 1917. Nannie was employed by Duke Energy before retirement.
Survivors include one son Joe Bailes Blythe and his wife Saundra, daughter Mary Blythe Jones and her husband Ralf, both of Huntersville; one brother Cooper Wilhelm, two sisters Vicki Hager and Margaret Sherrill, eleven Grandchildren, and fifteen Great Grandchildren; daughter-in-law Doris Blythe, and son-in-law Ned Chavers. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Grier Blythe, one son John Mack Blythe, one daughter Barbara Blythe Chavers, and one Grandson; brothers Kermit, Hoyt, and John; and sisters Ruth, Dorothy, Polly, and Katherine.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lake Norman, 705 Griffith St., Suite 203, Davidson, NC 28036, or Gilead A.R.P. Church, 15303 Beatties Ford Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Home Watch Caregivers and Hospice of Lake Norman for their love and care.
A funeral service will be held at Gilead A.R.P. Church on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 3 pm. with Rev. Robert Hunter officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
