Nick Milovic's Obituary
Nick Milovic, 61, of Cornelius died peacefully on January 22, 2024. He was born on August 4, 1962, in New York, NY to the late Nikola and Vittoria Milovic.
He grew up in Hell’s Kitchen in NYC until the age of 10 when his family moved to West New York, NJ. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from St Peter's University in Jersey City, NJ while working at Hearst Magazines, where he met his future wife, Jeanne. They married in 1990 and relocated with Hearst to Charlotte in 1991. They welcomed their son Matthew in 1995 and daughter Emily in 1999. After leaving Hearst, he continued to work in finance for Aramark and then Trimedx.
He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a caring brother, a cherished friend and a pillar of strength for all who knew him. He was happiest when spending time with his family and friends at the beach, on the lake or in the kitchen where he created memories with food and prepared meals which were the basis of much happiness. He was an avid sports fan who loved passing along his knowledge through coaching. He was selfless, humble, loyal, generous, soft spoken, hardworking, kind and caring with a quick wit. He made his family his priority his whole life because there was no place he’d rather be than with them.
Nick is survived by his beloved wife Jeanne; their children Matthew and Emily, siblings Sandy Lovren (Ante), Konstantin Milovic and Mary Johnson, in-laws Mary Ellen and Vic Nitti, Pat and Tim Frederiks, Bob and Sue Tucker, Dan Tucker and Doreen Treacy, his nieces and nephews, Christopher, Stephen, Michael, Peter, Laura, Megan, Jenna, Kevin, Robert, Brian, Kaitlin, Dana, Trent, Ashley, Gwen, Van, Claire and Devon.
