Nikki Park's Obituary
Nikki Knight Park, 49, of Davidson, beloved wife, daughter, sister, passed away March 24, 2013, at the Huntersville Oaks surrounded by her loving husband Greg, Kathy “her guardian angel” and close friends.
She was born August 20, 1963, in Salt Lake City, the second daughter and fourth child of Hal and Ursula Knight. She grew up in Taylorsville, Utah, and graduated from Cottonwood High School in 1981. Nikki was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Nikki married Gregory Park in Salt Lake City. They went on to follow their dream of moving to North Carolina, where they both had successful careers, built their dream home in Davidson that they shared with their beloved dog Chester, and where they were surrounded by the loving NASCAR community.
An outgoing and lovely girl with a beautiful smile who made friends easily, she entered the world of retail business where she became a successful leader. She was in management at various retail stores including Castletons, Victoria’s Secret, Nascar Thunder and Talbots. She truly loved her career and the relationships she was able to build through it.
She lived the last two years of her life at the Huntersville Oaks, where her radiant smile lit the hallways and brighten the lives of the other residents. The family wishes to offer sincere thanks to the residents, doctors, nurses, caregivers, and staff, specifically Dr. Gambino, Beth, Lou, Georgia, Vicki and Craig, who became our extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mother. Survivors include her husband Gregory Park, father, brothers, J. Frank (June) Knight, Neal R. (Connie) Knight; sister, Crystal A. (Darven) Erickson, all of Salt Lake City, and numerous nieces and nephews.
