Norman S. "Norm" Reid's Obituary
Mr. Norman S. “Norm” Reid, 84, of Davidson, NC passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022. Norm was originally born in Belmont, NC and has been a resident of Davidson, NC since 2002. He was a faithful member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church (Davidson, NC) and a long-standing member of the Davidson Lions Club. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957 – 59. He spent his entire 38-year work career at Duke Power Company. Norm enjoyed golf, sports, serving at his church and most especially spending time with family and friends.
Norm was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lorene Reid; and a brother, Terry Reid.
Mr. Reid is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marcy Reid; his son, Scott (Stacey) of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren, Molly and Gavin; sister, Kathy (Butch) Murray of Charlotte, NC; and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 12, 3:00 PM at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Davidson, NC. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Lane, Davidson, NC 28036.
