Odessa Long Sharar's Obituary
Odessa Long Sharar, 90, of Huntersville died February 10, 2014 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House. She was born on November 11, 1923 in Mecklenburg County to the late Preston and Carrie Black Long.
She was preceded in death by her children Timothy Bell and Kathy Bell and her first husband Clarence Bell.
Survivors include her husband Reid Sharar; step-son, Monty and wife Linda of Kannapolis and step-daughter, Tamara Todd and husband James of Huntersville; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church to go to the Rotary Foundation for the express purpose of building fresh water wells, 10500 Beatties Ford Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078.
The graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Unity Presbyterian Church in Denver.
The funeral service will follow at 12:00 Saturday at Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Huntersville. Visitation will follow the service in the family life center.
