Our love to all of you with your mom's passing. She was a special lady and was so generous with her kindness and caring . When I think of the many ways she influenced me , it is amazing how many are part of my everyday life. One of the first things she did was reach out to me through the Davidson-Cornelius Day Care Center. I served with her on the Board
and saw her creative style and approach to our efforts in fundraising for the Center.
At DCPC she had me assisting her in Wedding coordinating. I learned so much in shadowing her and seeing the love of creating a "near perfect" wedding with lovely memories for the bride and groom. We served together , along with the Burts, on the Membership Committee where her warmth and friendship was cherished by those she welcomed into the church. it was work but more fun had by all.
We are grateful for her help with Johanna's wedding in the worst nor 'eastern winter storm
I have experienced. She and Barbara kept things organized and moving without a worry or care to upset us! It was so beautiful and meaningful thanks to their expertise. I remember WDAV, Powder Horn, The Pines and her crowning accomplishment of the Davidson Community Players. What a wonderful friend, mentor, huge example of grace, beauty, and kindness. I love her and will always be thankful for her friendship and caring examples of sharing oneself with love. Marjorie and Lynn
