Pamela Jane Hamilton's Obituary
Pamela Jane Hamilton, age 74, passed away peacefully while in the care of Carolina Caring Hospice at her residence on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 surrounded by her family. Pam was born on Saturday, November 4, 1950 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte to Rufus and Peggy (Puckett) Hamilton. She was raised in the Long Creek section of Huntersville and attended Long Creek Elementary School, Alexander Junior High School and graduated from North Mecklenburg High School. She then attended Central Piedmont Community College where she earned her North Carolina Real Estate License. Pam was married on June 11, 1988 to D Keith Plyler. She worked for Belk Store Services and several others in corporate bookkeeping .
Pam was a beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother
Pam is predeceased by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her husband D Keith Plyler, her sons, Lee Hamilton and his wife Brenda and Tracy Foy and his wife Deatra, her brothers Rusty Hamilton and Hoyt Hamilton his wife Carol, her precious grandchildren, Zeke, Jacob and Gracy Foy and Anna Leigh Hamilton.
Pam was a lifelong member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church where she was involved in many activities and groups. The Houston-Patterson Circle, Vacation Bible School, Coordinating Committee and Disciple Study. She was awarded Presbyterian Women Honorary Life Membership in 2014 in the tradition of her mother and grandmother.
A Memorial service celebrating Pam's life will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 10500 Beatties Ford Road, Huntersville, NC 28078, followed by a reception at the church's Family Life Center.
The family requests that memorial contributions in Pam's name be made to the Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements are in the care of James Funeral Home of Huntersville.
