Pansy Renegar's Obituary
Pansy Callahan Renegar, 92, of Charlotte, passed away suddenly September 22, 2012 at CMC University. She was born on August 4, 1920 in Surry County to the late John Hugh and Florence Callahan. She was a member of Northdale Baptist Church. Pansy worked in retail at Ivey’s and Dillards for many years. She sowed many seeds of love in life and in her gardens. Her inspiring spirit was a true blessing and her love of her Lord was ever present.
She is preceded in death by her husband Grover Ralph Renegar after 61 years of marriage; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son Jim Renegar and wife Gloria Coltharp of Charlotte; daughter Sheree Griffin and husband Larry, Sr. of Cornelius; grandchildren, Susie Bailey (Kevin), Larry Griffin, Jr. (Ginger), Mike Griffin (Andrea); 8 great grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah, Leah, Blair, Hailey, Trey, Alex and Carrie Lynn.
Memorials may be made to Northdale Baptist Church, 8104 Statesville Rd., Charlotte, NC 28269.
The family will receive friends and have a reception to celebrate Pansy’s life from 6-8 PM Monday, September 24, 2012 at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr., Huntersville, NC 28078, 704-584-9004.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Northdale Baptist Church with Rev. J. McCray Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
