Patricia Duever's Obituary
Patricia Ann Heymann Duever was reunited with her beloved husband of 59 years, Douglas, on December 11, 2025. Patricia was born on November 21, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri to T. Jane Heymann nee Anderson and Edward Heymann, both deceased.
Her life changed forever when in nursing school, she met Doug, knowing almost instantly that she would marry him. And on August 28, 1965, she did. They started their married life in Jefferson City, Missouri where they welcomed their son, Scott. Within two years, they found themselves moving to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for Doug’s work where they welcomed their daughter, Deborah.
A few years later, new opportunity took them to Lakewood, New York, where they lived and raised their children until Doug retired in 1993. The following year they moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico where they thoroughly enjoyed retired life traveling, visiting kids and grandkids and spending time visiting friends.
Patricia loved quilting, gifting her quilts and other crafts to veterans along with her family and friends, playing dominoes, reading and traveling. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and spoiling her adorable pup, Kea.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Douglas in May 2024 and is survived by her brothers, Ed (Carolyn) and Michael, her children Scott (Kerry) and Deborah (Tom), her 2 granddaughters, Emily and Madeline, her pup Kea, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Mission Lutheran School in Las Cruces NM at www. https://Mlschool.net/donate/support. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
