Patricia Roberts Stephens' Obituary
Patricia Roberts Stephens, 80, of Huntersville, NC passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Olde Knox Commons of Huntersville.
She was born on October 26, 1936 in Charlotte, NC. She was the daughter of the late Marion and Lula Cooke Roberts, and wife of 50 years to the late Glennis Marie Stephens. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Loved going to the beach, playing bingo, gardening, dedicated viewer of the Hallmark Channel, longtime active member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, William “Buzz” Stephens and daughter, Sharon Turner & husband Ed, both of Huntersville; sister, Eleanor Fowler and husband George of Pineville; brother, Stephen Roberts and wife Joan of Charlotte; five grandchildren, Lauren Hamor and husband Dave, Natalie Carraway, Phillip Espinoza, Kelly Curtis and husband Eric, and William “Buzzy” Stephens and wife Christina; two great-grandchildren, Claire Hamor and Aiden Stephens. She was preceded in death by her very special companion, “Mama Kitty”.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017, at 2:00 PM, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Roten officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.
