Patricia Sudderth's Obituary
Patricia Banks (Patsy) Sudderth, 73 of Bessemer City, formerly of Charlotte, died April 14, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on January 4, 1945 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Anthony and Rita DeRitis. She was a member of Huntersville Presbyterian Church. She loved the Boy Scouts of America and was so proud of her two Eagle Scout sons.
Survivors include her husband Edward Sudderth; sons Larry Banks of Cornelius and Michael Banks and wife Christa Poole of Mt. Holly; daughters, Toni Lucas and husband Chris Moise of Charlotte and Rita Moose and husband Mark of Charlotte; siblings, Maria DeRitis and Margie Knox (John); and 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; as well as 2 nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence W. Banks, Sr.; son, Anthony Joseph Banks; granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Moose (Stevie) and brother Michael Anthony “Jeep” DeRitis.
Visitation will be 1-2 PM prior to the service in the sanctuary. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 17 at Huntersville Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Troop 19 Boy Scouts of America, 21008 Catwaba Ave. Cornelius, NC 28031.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Gaston County for their care as well as her friend Missy Green who watched her each day.
