Patrick John Riola's Obituary
Patrick John Riola, 72, of Huntersville, NC passed surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at his residence in Huntersville, NC.
He was born on July 9, 1941 in Summit, NJ and was the son of the late John & Rose (Luciano) Riola. Patrick was Honorably Discharged in 1966 following his service in the United States Army. He was the owner and operator of PJ’s Luncheonette in Summit, NJ for ten years and was employed thereafter with Weldon Materials in Watchung, NJ for 20 years. He also was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters for 20 years.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, JoAnn (Rossi) Riola of Huntersville, NC; two daughters, Patricia Riola of Basking Ridge, NJ and Lisa (Riola) Stanziola and husband Dario of Huntersville, NC; two loving grandchildren, Nico and Mia Stanziola; sister, Rosemary (Riola) D’Ecclessis of Summit, NJ; brother, James Riola and wife Melinda of Queen Creek, AZ; brother-in-law Dan Rossi of Ormond Beach, FL; two sister-in-laws, Roberta Rossi of Huntersville, NC and Barbara Riola of Millington, NJ; Aunt, Delores Luciano of Chatham, NJ and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Patrick was preceded in death by his brother, John J. Riola.
Services will be held at a later date at St. Teresa Catholic Church of Avila in Summit, NJ. Details will be forthcoming.
