Patrina Nazziola's Obituary
Patrina Nazziola, 84, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 17, 2026. She was born on October 25, 1941, in Manhattan, New York, to Vincenzo Michele Giuseppe Lisinicchia and Josephine Cangelosi Lisinicchia.
Patrina, affectionately known as “Treen,” “Pat,” “Mom,” and “Nonna,” was a source of love and comfort to all who knew her. She was often described as a “second mom” to so many, always opening her home, heart and kitchen table. She had a true zest for life and was known for her incredible Sicilian and Italian cooking and always bringing family and friends together for a meal.
She found joy in the simple and meaningful moments—cooking for those she loved, attending swim classes with her friends, and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Ellsworth Nazziola; her children, Tom Anthony Nazziola, Melissa Nazziola Price, and Jason Michael Nazziola; and her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Leahy Price and Alivia Anna Price, who adored her, and her brother Anthony Lisinicchia. She is also survived by her loving companion, Mimi.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the love she gave so freely.
Services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026. The family will receive friends for 1 hour from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at James Funeral Home of Huntersville. The funeral mass will start at 2:00 PM at St. Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville. In true Nonna fashion, please wear a splash of red, or head to toe dressed in red.
Flowers are accepted as well as donations to Cornelius Animal Shelter 19110 Meridian St, Cornelius, NC 28031 where Nonna rescued Mimi from.
