Patsy "Pat" Childers' Obituary
Patsy (Pat) Upright Childers, 72, of Huntersville went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2024. She was born on March 25, 1951, in Iredell County to the late Louis and Ruby Lee Upright. She was a faithful servant of Christ, serving as the pastor of The Church of God of the Bible in Huntersville for over 40 years. She loved the church and those God put around her. She had a quick wit and loved to laugh.
Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and extended church family and friends. To know her was to love her, and if she was in your life, she loved you “big.” She gave generously and selflessly, giving all the credit to The Lord. She endured many trials here on this earth, but with each trial, her testimony and faith continued to strengthen. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family that she adored and the many lives that she touched through her ministry. She was not only the bright light of our family - she was “The Matriarch.” She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Carl (Buck) Childers, Jr., parents, and brother, Curtis Upright.
Survivors include daughters, Crystal Goss (Dean) of Stanley, Kari Robinette (Billy) of Huntersville; grandchildren Charlie Goss (Tristan), Dustin Childers (Kasey), Madalyn Gonzalez (David), Jackson Robinette; sisters, Doris Driggers of Kannapolis, and Shirley Childers of Mooresville; 4 great-grandchildren (Hayden, Dallas, Luke, Dakota); and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to The Church of God of the Bible in Huntersville, NC: PO Box 1788, Huntersville, NC 28070
