Paul Alley's Obituary
Mr. Paul Alley, 86, of Charlotte, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015.
A native of Iredell County, Paul was the son of Grover and Emma Alley. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He was a member and a deacon for Emmanuel Baptist Church. Paul was the owner and operator of Alley’s Catering, Measurement Control Gas Meter Repair, Harris’ Lake Fish Camp of Concord and was retired from Mormon Keystone. His cooking talents were well known and put to great use with fish fry fundraisers for various church groups, the Boy Scouts, and numerous community functions. Paul was a known prankster to his family and friends. He was an avid fan of WWE Wrestling. Paul loved spending time with his family especially attending his grandchildren’s events.
Mr. Alley was preceded in death by his parents, 13 brothers, and one sister.
Mr. Alley is survived by his wife of 64 years, Willas Harrison Alley, son, Dennis Alley and wife, Debbie, daughters; Melissa Saunders and husband, David, Kim Alley and husband, Skipper Davis, Rhonda Pressley and husband, Gene, all of Charlotte, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2015 at James Funeral Home of Huntersville. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
