Paul Hawks' Obituary
Mr. John Paul Hawks, 67, of Concord, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Novant Huntersville Hospital with family by his side.
Paul was born in Iredell County, February 26, 1955 to the late John and Mary Hawks. Paul was a Veteran. He served in the U.S. Army for 6 years where he was a marksman instructor at Ft. Eustis, VA. He then went on to be a residential roofer until retirement. Paul loved hunting, fishing, gardening, making knives, and whittling. He also loved his best friend and emotional support dog, Penny.
Mr. Hawks is preceeded in death by his wife Bonnie Hawks, and sisters, Dale Dishman and Nancy Farrington. He is survived by his sons Michael and Eric Hawks, grandson Ryder Hawks, sisters Kay Bushey, Jean Winkler, Jackie Marlowe (Charles), Sue Morris (Bradley), 10 nephews, 1 niece, numerous great nephews and nieces, and cousin Dean Sloan, who was like a brother to him.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday, October 27, 2022 at James Funeral Home located at 10520 Arahova Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078. The family will receive friends from 1 p. m. until service time. Burial will follow at North Lake Memorial Gardens located at 11001 Alexanderana Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078.
