Paul Jeffrey Heringslake's Obituary
It is with full hearts and lasting gratitude that we celebrate the life of Paul Jeffrey Heringslake—known to many as PJ—a beloved father, friend, neighbor, and eternal optimist.
PJ passed away on June 17, 2025, at the age of 62, surrounded by his family and uplifted by the love and prayers of his community. He ended his courageous battle with Mantle Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma the same way he lived—with grace and faith.
Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, on November 27, 1962, PJ carried his deep love for people, animals, and God into every chapter of his life. He truly loved his life, finding joy in the little things like late-night ice cream, morning coffee - especially at Dunkin Donuts, workouts at his gym, sunsets on the beach, ordering takeout, walking his dog (and saying hi to everyone along the way). He had a rare gift for making others feel seen, known, and deeply cared for—whether through a warm hug, a quick joke, or simply showing up when it mattered most.
His devotion to his two daughters, Jordan (26) and Bailey (24), was https://unmatched.They were the joy and purpose of his life, and he never missed a chance to cheer them on, offer advice (solicited or not), or make them laugh when they needed it most. His love extended to his grandson James and his loyal four legged companion Jax, who stood by his side until the very end.
PJ was a follower of Christ, and his faith shaped how he lived—with humility and https://happiness.Whether it was a pickup basketball game, a neighborhood BBQ, or a spontaneous chat at the grocery store, PJ brought kindness and fun into every interaction. His sense of humor, loyalty, compassion, and contagious smile left a lasting imprint on countless lives.
He is survived by his loving siblings, Mark (67) and Marcy (64), along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends—many of whom were lucky enough to be considered part of his extended family.
PJ would say the best legacy we can leave is love and positivity, and he left plenty of it.
A celebration of PJ’s life will be held at Mecklenburg Community Church on August 2nd at 11:00 a.m. (8335 Browne Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269).
