Paul Williams' Obituary
Paul Edward Williams, 80, of Cornelius, died October 7, 2021 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 27, 1940 in Mecklenburg County to the late Louis Swindell Williams and Clara Williams. He is preceded in death by his wife Alice. Paul was a man of many talents. He spent many years working as an investigator for the Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner's Office. He spent an extensive amount of time as a paramedic with Medic and at Lifeshare of the Carolinas. He made many wonderful friends, especially at Medic, who were close to him to the end. Paul was a pastor and servant of Christ. He loved the Lord and raised his children with Christian values. He was a hands-on father and a dedicated provider.
He is survived by his children, Debbie Cole of York, S.C., Kenneth Williams of Cornelius, N.C., Teresa Bell of Rock Hill, S.C., and Christa Williams of Stoney Point.
He has 5 grandchildren: Jeffrey Mundy, Matthew Williams, Lindsey Williams McGowan, Aaron Cole, Caleb Bell.
He has 2 great grandchildren: Adisyn McGowan, Jeremiyah Williams.
There will be an intimate graveside service at Mt. Zion Methodist Cemetery in Cornelius.
