Peggy Craven's Obituary
Peggy Craven, 86, of Huntersville, died on Friday, July 19th, 2021, after health issues from three falls in the last 9 months of her life.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Walter Craven; Peggy and Walter were married just shy of 66 years. They married August 6,1955 while Walter was serving in the US Navy.
Peggy devoted her life to her husband Walter and both of their families. She was a loving and supportive wife to her Navy sweetheart, Walter Craven. She was a wonderful friend, providing constant love, encouragement, and example to all around her. Peggy was a dedicated employee of Crescent Electric (now Energy United) and retired from them after 40 years of service. Peggy was known by friends and family as a take-charge person, dedicated, hardworking, and had a very strong work ethic. She used her initiative and leadership gifts to serve others and her company with excellence. Her happy place was working in her yard and keeping the outside of their home pristine.
She had faith in Jesus Christ which provided direction during her life as well as great comfort at the end of her life. Peggy was the last born of nine brothers and sisters to Lamont and Myrtle Mayes of Huntersville North Carolina. She will be greatly missed by many.
The family will have a visitation to receive and greet friends at Ramah Presbyterian Church at 10:30 on Saturday, July 24, 2021. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 across the street at Ramah Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ramah Presbyterian Church, Samaritan’s Purse, or Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
