Peggy "Peg" Malpass Culbreth's Obituary
Peggy ‘Peg’ Malpass Culbreth, 94, entered the gates of Heaven on March 20, 2026.
She was born March 13, 1932 in Goldsboro, NC. She married Walter Culbreth on August 30, 1953 and soon afterwards graduated from East Carolina University.
Peg’s love in life was teaching. She taught elementary-aged children in North Carolina and Georgia, but the majority of her career spanned over many years teaching in Florida. Upon retirement, Peg and Walter moved to Davidson, North Carolina where they settled in and established wonderful friendships. They stayed active and were very involved in their church, Trinity Baptist of Mooresville. Peg was a member of many social groups; she loved her coffee group and Red Hat ladies.
She will be dearly missed by many. Peg was proceeded in death by her granddaughter Brooke, her oldest son Wallie, and her husband of 72 years, Walter. She is survived by her two sons Howard (Sherri) of Troutman, NC and Craig (Patty) of St. Augustine FL, her grandsons Walter, Bradley, Jon, Jeremy, Josh, Todd, Keiffer, and Gabriel along with their wives, many great grandchildren, her beloved sister Judy (Roger) May and loved nieces & nephews
Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church Mooresville.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday March 28,2026 at Trinity Baptist Church, Mooresville. Burial will be private at Mimosa Cemetery.
