Peggy Nixon Pace's Obituary
Peggy Mae Nixon Pace, 87, of Charlotte died July 3, 2024. She was born on April 5, 1937 in Charlotte to the late Leonard and Dana Nixon. She was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove U.M.C. She sang in the choir and was secretary of the Covenant Sunday School Class. In their retirement years, Jack and Peggy enjoyed dancing together and dining with friends. She was a loving and caring person who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is now in heaven reunited with Jack, her favorite of all dance partners.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Pace and her brothers, Reid Nixon, Horace Nixon and Coleman Nixon.
Survivors include her sons, Bobby Pace and wife Donna of Matthews and their daughter Jessica; and Tim Pace and wife Teresa of Mint Hill.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove UMC.
A graveside service will be held at 4 PM Sunday, July 7 at Pleasant Grove UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 PM prior on Sunday at James Funeral Home.
