Peggy Raborn's Obituary
Peggy Jean Honeycutt Raborn, 89, of Huntersville, passed on to her eternal home August 7, 2023. She was born on May 17, 1934 in Mecklenburg County to the late James and Johnsie Honeycutt. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jerry, as well as sister, Daisy and brother Jim, and granddaughter, Amanda and great-grandson, Seth.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Sandra Pender (Eddie) and Angie Thomas (Phillip), both of Huntersville; grandchildren, Heather Kelley (James), Rusty Thomas (Nicole), and Sam (Cindy) and Joshua (Ruth) Pender; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and one more on the way; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
“Mrs. Raborn” as Paw called her, had so much love and pride for her family and we had the chance to make many good memories through her wonderful cooking, baking, family trips, anything to get together with family. She loved music and enjoyed singing in church for many years.
The funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 11 at Westport Baptist Church in Denver. Visitation will be 10-11 AM prior in the sanctuary. Burial will follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens.
