Peggy Triplett's Obituary
Peggy Mayhew Triplett of Huntersville, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. She was born in Cornelius, NC on May 22, 1930, to the late Margaret Bolick Mayhew and Palmer E. Mayhew. She was 91 years old.
Peggy was a life-long member of Mt Zion United Methodist Church in Cornelius, NC where she played piano for her Sunday School classes for over forty years. She was a devote Christian, a beloved wife, a wonderful loving mother and a Southern Lady. She was selfless and always put the needs of her family above her own.
Peggy married her childhood sweetheart and was preceded in death by her late husband of 58 years, Jack Dunn Triplett. She is survived by her daughter, Myra Parks and husband Dan of Concord, NC; son, Richard Triplett of West Palm Beach, FL,; and daughter, Sherri Walden and husband John of Cornelius, NC. Surviving grandchildren are Zack Jordan, Michelle Walden Mazanec and John Walden IV; and great-grandchildren Hailey Jordan and John Walden V.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Music Department at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 19600 Zion Avenue Cornelius, NC 28031.
Due to COVID-19, all services will be held privately by the family on January 10, 2021, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Cornelius, NC.
