Dan and I endeavored to build our house in Mebane, NC when Sailor was a baby. Pete selflessly spent weeks with us helping Dan install kitchen cabinets, cut and install all the doors and trim in the house, install hardwood floors in Sailor’s nursery and what would one day be Ashley’s nursery and paint the interior of the house. We treasured the time shared with Pete, greatly appreciated the knowledge and talents shared and cherished the home we created with our children for years to come. Pete definitely showed his love thru his many acts of service. He will be deeply missed. I see so much of Pete in Dan as he, too, is an intense problem solver and enjoys building and fixing things. His legacy will live on in Dan as he exemplifies so many of Pete’s attributes and talents in our home! I am forever grateful to Pete for raising such an amazing son that I have the privilege of sharing life with!💕
