Pettice M. Phillips,'s Obituary
Pettice “Phil” M. Phillips, Jr., 77, of Huntersville, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Huntersville Oaks.
He was born on May 21, 1936 in Alabama and was the son of the late Pettice M. Phillips, Sr. and Inez Griffin Phillips. He was a member of the U.S. Army, Eagle Scout, Tool Engineer with Bell Helicopter, holder of five different manufacturing patents, attended First Baptist Church in Huntersville and loved spending time in the house he built on the Brazos River in Texas.
Surviving family members include his wife, Kay Lisle Phillips of Huntersville; two daughters, Tammy Dorcas and husband Mike, and Kristi Salamone and husband John of Huntersville; five grandchildren, Taylor, Jessika, Zachary, Lena and Macy.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at 4:00 PM, at First Baptist Church of Huntersville. The family will receive friends following the service in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church Youth Fund, 119 North Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC 28078.
