Phyllis Duggan's Obituary
Phyllis June Winkler Duggan, born December 12, 1943 to Blanche Chapman and Clarence Winkler, Sr., passed unexpectedly on November 18, 2021 to cancer, at age 77.
A loving sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, family was everything to her. Married to Henry Fred Duggan of Tennessee, Phyllis had 3 children, Teresa Warlick, Anthony Duggan and Beverly Duggan. Phyllis is proceeded in death by her parents Blanche and Clarence; children Teresa, Anthony and Beverly; her loving husband Fred of 50 years; brothers Clarence, Stewart, Jimmy, and Johnny; and sister Patsy Daniels.
She was a devout worker at Cashion's Quik Stop for 20 years and prided herself in being the first person to greet people every morning.
Phyllis is survived by son Joshua Duggan; niece Kathy Tolley; grandchildren Ammie Cline (Nick), Krissy Lane (Brandon), Stephanie Duggan, Brittney Duggan, Sydney Duggan, and Tiffany Duggan; 10 great-grandchildren: Luke Cline, Lexsie Duggan, Joseph Bowman, Chloe Bowman, Keegan Baxter, Robert Honeycutt, Blake Duggan, Ducklan Booker, Joel Beatty-Davis, Decklan Booker, Isabella and Grayson Lane and Karter Johnson.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2:00 PM at James Funeral Home with the interment following at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery in Cornelius. There will be a one hour visitation prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Levine Cancer Center or St. Jude.
