Phyllis Anne Pharr, 77, of Charlotte, died unexpectedly on January 20, in the midst of a six-month battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Nance Pharr and Walter Mack Pharr, Jr. Phyllis grew up on Wal Read Obituary
To the family of Phylliss. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort with Psalms chapter 46 verse 1 that reads, "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distresses." This is quoted from the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures.
Our sympathy to the family as you grieve for another member of your family in a short
period of time. Phyllis will be missed by family and friends and remembered by the Queens
family for her love and devotion to the school. She added much fun and joy to lives of many
students who admired her style and leadership.
Hopefully you may dwell on the wonderful memories of both Phyllis and Mickey. May the
best and happiest times be the ones you remember in the face of illness and lost.

My deepest condolences. Coach Pharr always had a smile on her face and genuinely loved Queens. I will always remember that smile. She was gracious enough to share it with us. May she rest in God's Peace.
Phyllis was one of a kind and will be deeply missed. I had the pleasure of being one of her students and later, a colleague. She was always kind, always spunky, and always up to something! She had high expectations of her students and a strong sense of justice and equality. I will remember her fondly and send my deepest sympathies to her family.

I remember Phyllis Pharr being the soul of patience as she tried (in vain) to teach this leftie how to do a proper volley over the net in tennis class. She was a kind soul and wonderful teacher. I know she will be sorely missed. My condolences to her family.

I am so sorry to hear that my dear friend, Phyllis, died yesterday. Due to my illness I will not be able to come to the visitation nor the funeral service.
