In 2006, I had the privilege of teaching Kindergarten Sunday School with Mr. & Mrs. O’Neal. They were a wonderful team and I’m sure I learned more than our students that year! Miss Polly would take such care to create crafts and treats for the kids, going above and beyond what was required of her. She treated each child as special and had a very deep desire for them to know Jesus as their Lord and savior. I loved the way she would make eye contact when she talked to me, as if we were the only two people around. And she periodically wrote cards and notes to me & my children, making sure we knew we were seen and loved. She was an excellent example of living with grace. What a blessing it was to have known her!
What a wonderful neighbor/friend!!! I can only hope to be half the hostess she was! I loved her southern charm and her love for Jesus and her family!!
Early on our relationship, she and Mr Wd showed up at our Halloween play date dressed as babies. It was awesome!!🤣
In 2022 we vacationed in NC and got to visit Mrs Polly. That special lady was the highlight of our trip!! I'm so thankful I got to know and love her!!
Her smile and laughter were always so contagious. This was especially true during the Easter celebrations we had for years at Mamaw’s house.

February 1, 2025 we had the opportunity to visit Polly and it was just like we had never been apart! It was so special!
A special dinner for us! Of course everything was perfect!
