Mt. Holly — Rafael Camacho, 82, salio a encontrarse con su Creator el Sábado 26 de Agosto, 2017 en su casa en Mt. Holly, NC después de una corta enfermedad.
Le sobreviven su esposa de 57 años de matrimonio, Hilda Camacho, cinco hijos, cuatro llernos y llernas, siete nietos, una biz-nieta; 7 hermanos y muchos amigos cercanos.
Nacido y criado en la República Dominicana, el Hijo de Domingo y Julia Camacho, fue residente de Levittown, Puerto Rico y se retiró mudándose al estado de Carolina del Norte, Florida y finalmente estableció su residencia permanente en la ciudad de Mount Holly, Carolina Del Norte.
En sus primers años Rafael (Papito) trabajó Como soldador industrial. Después de graduarse de la escuela superior, conoció a su esposa Hilda Camacho en una actividad de la escuela y se casaron en el año 1960 en la iglesia católica Santa Rosa De Lima en la República Dominicana. En el año 1968 decidió mudar a su familia a Puerto Rico en busca de nuevos horizontes. Rafael vivió en Puerto Rico hasta que se retiro a los Estados Unidos en el año 1995.
Después de mudarse a Puerto Rico Papito tuvo la oportunidad de trabajar guiando equipo pesado y eventualmente hizo un curso para trabajar como soldador industrial hasta su retiro. El tomaba mucho orgullo en su trabajo y no solamente disfruto el conocer muchas personas pero también hizo muchos amigos que duraron toda una vida.
Papito tenia una pasión por la música y el deporte de los cuales la pelota y el boxeo eran sus favoritos. Su equipo preferido de pelota eran los Yankees de Nueva York. entro de sus muchos talentos, se destacaban el cantar, el tocar acordeón y tocar la guitarra.
El disfrutaba la vida completamente compartiendo con su familia y haciendo reír a todos alrededor. Ciertamente sus familiares y amigos vamos a extrañar su gran sentido del humor y carisma.

Mt. Holly — Rafael Camacho, 82, passed went to meet his Creator, Saturday, August 26, 2017 at his Home in Mt. Holly, NC following a brief illness.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Hilda Camacho; his daughter, Ingrid Camacho and wife, Felicita Rosa; his daughter, Belkis Serrano and husband Jose Serrano; his daughter, Jenny Camacho; His son, Rafael Camacho Jr. and wife Nelly Camacho, His son Julio Camacho and wife Jessica Camacho, seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; 7 surviving siblings and many close friends.
Born and raised in Dominican Republic, the son of Domingo and Julia Camacho, he was a lifelong resident of Levitown, Puerto Rico and retired to Florida and Mt. Holly, NC.
In his early years, Rafael (“Papito”) would work as an industrial welder. After graduating from high school, he met his wife, Hilda Camacho, at a school event and they were married in 1960 at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Dominican Republic. In 1968, he decided to take his family to Puerto Rico in search for a better life where they lived until they retired to the US in 1995.
After moving to PR Papito had the opportunity to work as a heavy equipment driver and eventually he trained to be an industrial welder until his retirement. He not only took pride in his work, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in the work force.
Papito had a passion for music, baseball, boxing and he was an avid accordion player. For years, he would cheer for the NY Yankees and watch every boxing match. He played baseball during his younger years and never missed a Yankees game or boxing match. He enjoyed life to the fullest, spending time with his family, joking and making everyone laugh. He will be dearly missed.
Memorial services for Rafael “Papito” Camacho age 82 will be Tuesday August 29th at 11:00am at the . James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr, Huntersville, NC 28078.
Following services everyone is invited for desserts and refreshments at the same location.
