Raymond Phillips' Obituary
Raymond Jack Phillips, 74, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Sunday, February 16 at his home surrounded by his family.
Raymond was born in Oakridge, TN to Isabelle Lanning Phillips on June 2, 1945. He spent many years at Mills Home in Thomasville, NC and attended Thomasville City Schools. He served in the Air Force. He married Diane Virginia Rosen on June 12, 1964 in Reno, Nevada. He was a successful business owner in the pool industry until retirement. One of his biggest passions in life was gold mining with his sons, and they enjoyed many trips around the United States in pursuit of gold.
Raymond is preceded in death by his mother, Isabelle and wife, Diane.
Raymond is survived by two sons, Michael (Cathy) Phillips of Huntersville, NC and Jason (Heather) Phillips of Statesville, NC, one sister, Jean, three brothers, Paul, Larry, and Cecil, five grandchildren, Joseph (Lydia), Kara (Jonathan), Hannah, Aliza Jae, and Thomas, three great grandchildren, Jack, Madi, and Henry, life-long family friend, Barbara McMurrey, and caring girlfriend, Sandi Lorrey.
The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, February 19 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m, with a service following at 3 p.m. at Harbor PCA Church, 433 Williamson Road in Mooresville.
