Raymond Riker's Obituary
Raymond Riker, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 6th, 2024. Born to Audrey and Vincent Riker (deceased) on February 17th, 1950, he was a devoted father to his daughters, Kimberly Bergmann, and Dena-Marie Riker. Raymond was known for his kind heart and gentle spirit.
Ray was a naval veteran who spent his working career as a network engineer. Born and raised on Long Island, New York, he retired in 2008 and moved to Cornelius, NC, to be closer to his daughters and his beloved grandchildren. He was affectionately called Pepop and PopPop by his grandkids Kaitlyn, Brandon, and Deston. He never missed a swim meet, a softball game, basketball or lacrosse game, adoring them as they adored him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lake Norman Humane Society, where his beloved companion KC was adopted. Your contribution will help other animals find loving homes, continuing Raymond’s legacy of compassion.
Raymond is survived by his daughters Kimberly and Dena-Marie, their partners Joseph Bergmann and Jim Strahan, his grandchildren Kaitlyn, Brandon, and Deston, and his siblings Greg, Don, Karen (deceased), Ken, Steve, and his sister Grace.
Rest in peace, Raymond. Your memory will be cherished always.

Wash all our heartaches away.
We're part of the fire that is burning, and from the ashes we can build another day." Moody Blues
