Richard George Brown's Obituary
Mr. Richard George Brown, 64, of Huntersville passed away November 8, 2019 in Durham, North Carolina.
Mr. Brown was a native of Linden, New Jersey and while recently lived in Ocala, Florida he resided primarily in Huntersville, North Carolina.
He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. Golf was his favorite pastime and he enjoyed both General Hospital and Tarheels basketball.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, George William Brown and Margaret Helen Catrone, his wife, Joyce Marie Brown, and his beloved dogs, Jack and Sydney Brown.
Mr. Brown is survived by his children, Jon Hermsen of Denver, Nicholas Brown of Charlotte and Patricia Newman (Curtis) of Timberlake; grandchildren, Lucas Glenn and Alyson Jorie; and siblings, Alan Brown and Joyce Catrone.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at James Funeral Home of Huntersville. Committal services with military honors will follow at NorthLake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 12 at the funeral home.
