Richard "Richie" Haddox's Obituary
Richard (Richie) Scott Haddox, 50, passed away too soon on Tuesday, February 28. He was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, and uncle. Richie graduated from Burges High School in El Paso, TX, and attended the University of Texas at El Paso. Most of his life, Richie worked in restaurant management. Most recently, he managed two restaurants at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. When he wasn’t working, Richie loved spending time with his boys, who were his world. He loved playing basketball—he was a stand-out player in high school—and he enjoyed golf as well. He was a Steelers fan, and when he had time, he loved reading. Richie was predeceased by his father, John H. Haddox, his brother, Thomas K. Haddox, and his sister, Margaret E. Haddox. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melinda, his two beloved sons, Jacob and Colin, his mother, Carmen Haddox, sisters Chris Huber (John), Raissa DeGraw (Colin), Grace Haddox (Basilio), and Madeleine Haddox. He is also survived by his brothers John Haddox, Jr. (Elizabeth), Charles Haddox (Lizbeth), his twin brother Robbie Haddox (Karissa), Timothy Haddox (Daniela), and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives including his uncle, Frank Mendoza. Richie was loved by so many, and his untimely passing will forever leave a void in our hearts.
