Richard Hicks' Obituary
Richard I. Hicks, 80 of Mooresville passed away peacefully November 2, 2014 after an extended illness. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK on March 20, 1934 to the late Jimmy Hicks and Murray Bradshaw. He attended the University of Oklahoma and Central State College. He was a huge OU Sooners Fan.
He was noted for his hospitality, his love of traveling, playing duplicate bridge, his roses, baking pies and a love of Holden Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Anna J. Hicks; sons, Richard I. Hicks, Jr. of Charlotte and Michael Gregory Hicks and wife Leslie of Mooresville; 2 grandsons, Trey and Gavin; brother, David Bradshaw and Dorothy, a nephew and a niece, all of Norman, OK.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to DCPC Ministers Discretionary Fund, PO BOX 337, Davidson, NC 28036.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 7 in the Lingle Chapel of Davidson College Presbyterian Church with visitation follow in the DCPC Congregation House.
