Richard Paul Kraft's Obituary
Mr. Richard Kraft, 66, of Huntersville, N.C. and formerly of Hillsborough N.J., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022.
Richard grew up in Long Island, New York before moving to New Jersey. In 2006, he relocated to Huntersville with his family. He worked as a certified public account for 35 years. He loved music, with Bruce Springsteen staunchly atop his list of favorite artists, was an avid reader and a cinema buff known for quoting random movie lines at any moment. In addition, he was a big sports fan with the Philadelphia Phillies and Villanova University’s basketball team, also his alma mater, as his favorite teams. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isabelle and Joseph Kraft, and a brother Joseph Jr.
Mr. Kraft is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gail Kraft, his son Richard Jr. (RJ) and daughter-in-law Stephanie of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters Mary of Arlington, Texas, Gerry of Newington, Conn., Jean of Eagle, Colo., and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. ET at James Funeral Home of Huntersville. The family will receive friends before that from 10 a.m. ET to 11 a.m. ET at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Richard’s name to the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House (C/O Hospice & Palliative Care Iredell County Administrative Office), 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, N.C. 28265.
